Simon Newsham
Tax Adviser
My Qualifications
I graduated from a London university with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) and went on to obtain my Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, Guildford.
I am a Consultant Tax Solicitor and Chartered Tax Adviser specialising in UK and international private client matters. I advise individuals and families on succession and wealth protection strategies, inheritance tax planning, capital gains tax matters, UK tax residence issues, the application of double tax treaties and structuring UK and cross-border arrangements, including relocations.
I qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser with a Big 4 London accountancy practice in 1998 and as a Solicitor with a leading London law firm in 2000.
I have held the role as Head of Tax in the London office of a US law firm, founded my own boutique tax law practice in 2005, and held Tax Partner roles at both a London law firm and national accountancy firm.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and attempting to play tennis.
How Can I Help?
I have advised domestic and international private clients on a wide range of tax matters since 1995.
I am approachable, friendly, innovative and take a highly commercial approach to achieving each client’s objectives.
I enjoy tackling complex tax issues and developing practical, effective tax-minimisation strategies with care and compassion.
